After graduating with an Honors Double Major BA in Mass Communications and Psychology, I went to work at one of the largest multi-national Advertising Agencies in the world. My career began in the Media Department where I was tasked with planning and buying TV and radio time for Coca Cola, General Motors and Mennen, among others. Subsequently, I moved over to the Account Management side where I worked on accounts for Labatt Breweries, Ault Foods, Cadbury Beverages, Leon’s Furniture and many more.
Eventually, I left the Advertising industry to strike out on my own as a self-employed Film and Television Technician. After 25 years of generating my own work and collaborating with Oscar and Emmy winners, I knew it was time for yet another transition. Knowing how I thrived and truly enjoyed my previous autonomy, I was looking for my next venture to be something that I could do for myself but not by myself.
That is where The Entrepreneur’s Source fit in. I realized through my various careers and experiences, that I had developed empathy for those that were going through career quandaries or just needing a change. I understood that the successes I had and the lessons I learned about perseverance, growth and passion would serve others well. Furthermore, I was well aware of the significance of surrounding myself with great systems and skilled colleagues who have the best interests of others in mind and in turn, will help me to bring out the finest in people.
After much research, deliberation and due diligence, it was obvious to me that being a coach at The Entrepreneur’s Source fit all that criteria very well. Looking back, I wish I knew about T.E.S. when I was going through my career transitions and how indispensable the coaches are with helping to navigate the journey of discovery.
